Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and the Federal Aviation Administration said Monday that contractors RTX and Spanish firm Indra will replace the radar systems by the summer of 2028. The unveiling of LG's CLOiD -- an AI-powered home robot designed to perform a slew of household chores -- is a first for a major consumer appliance brand.

LG's humanoid CLOiD bot wowed the CES crowd with promises of laundry, dishes, and dinner prep. It impressed me, too—but history suggests robot helpers rarely make it out of the demo stage.

CLOiD is designed to do more than vacuum or tidy up; it can fold laundry and unload dishes, and even dabbles in baking. The robot butler aims to “reduce the time and physical effort required for everyday chores,” the company said in a statement.
