Jimmy Kimmel is calling out Donald Trump with a video montage after the president claimed he was 'blinking' — and not sleeping — during meetings at the White House.

President Trump posted a video to his Truth Social account showing the military actions in Venezuela, with explosions lighting up the sky, as well as a photo of Nicolás Maduro after being captured, wearing dark sunglasses,

However, the footage is actually 17 months old. It was recorded in July 2024 according to Shayan Sardarizadeh, a journalist at BBC Verify, during a protest against Maduro, following the country’s presidential election that month, the outcome of which was widely disputed.

Trump is expected to give a news conference at 11 a.m. ET on Jan. 3 from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, where he will give more details about the U.S. operation in Venezuela.
